Baptism

Baptism doesn’t save you; Jesus does! Simply put, baptism is an outward expression of the inward life transformation that has happened.

If you’re a believer, you should be baptized!
It doesn’t matter if you were saved 20 years ago, or just last week,
it’s time to take the next step in your faith journey.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

FAQs

I got baptized in a different church tradition, should I get baptized again?

We practice believer’s baptism at KAC. This means we baptize people when they make a mature decision to believe in Jesus and follow Him. If you were sprinkle baptized as an infant by someone else’s choice, we invite you to consider being baptized again by full immersion as a declaration of your Christian faith.

How old do you need to be to get baptized?

We believe it is Biblical for individuals to be able to articulate their own faith in Jesus, rather than having a parent decide that for them.  With this in mind, we generally do not baptize children under the age of 12, but we encourage you to reach out to our Children’s Pastor Carleen with any questions you may have about this.

What do I need to do before getting baptized?

Throughout the book of Acts, we see the pattern of people coming to believe in Jesus as their Saviour, and getting baptized.  If you have placed your faith and trust in Jesus as your Saviour, we invite you to take this step of obedience in getting baptized as a public declaration of your faith.  You don’t need to have everything in your life sorted out or be seen as “put together”.  None of us are!
