Truth & Reconciliation Seminar

Indigenous Connections team is so pleased to welcome Billy Rowluck to share a seminar on truth and reconciliation. Billy was a presenter at our conference, Us Together, in May of 2023 and did a phenomenal job outlining current thoughts around truth and reconciliation in Canada. We are thrilled to bring him back to present a similar session to us.

Billy Rowluck: “I am a husband, father of three, schoolteacher, graduate student at the University of British Columbia, and member of the Nlaka’Pamux Nation. I have been asked to speak on the topic of truth and reconciliation and offer my view from the context of being raised by an Indigenous Father and non-Indigenous mother in Canada. I currently work at Stein Valley Nlaka”Pamux School at Lytton First Nation.

I look forward to sharing with you with the goal of understanding the issues surrounding First Nation and non-Indigenous relations in Canada.”

One of the mandates of the Indigenous Connections team is to bring education and awareness to non-Indigenous people to help prepare our church and wider community for a better future. Billy will help us do just that.
