Ash Wednesday Gathering

Ash Wednesday falls six weeks before Easter Sunday. It marks the beginning of the season of Lent – a time of intentional prayer and fasting focusing on spiritual renewal – which prepares our hearts and minds to reflect on the meaning of the crucifixion and death of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Join us for a special evening service!

Our service will have a simple liturgy, worship through song, moments of contemplation, and the imposition of ashes for those who choose to participate. Ash Wednesday is sober and solemn in tone as we reflect on our sin and finite nature, but filled with hope by a God whose mercy, grace, and love are without end.
